I was responsible for all manufacturing operations.• Planned and successfully moved production to a larger facility (45,000 sq. ft.) to accommodate new contracts for major automotive companies.• Performed preliminary manufacturing requirements for new contracts including equipment (over 1.2m investment), product FMEA and FMA, layout, time studies, process flow, and staffing.• Setup production systems to meet QS-9000 requirements and successfully helped company pass initial QS-9000 certification from previous ISO-9002 standard. Manufacturer of aerospace/ defense pressure, accelerometer, and temperature sensors:ATE Test Engineer/Associate Engineer: (6/82-5/85) Managed all test operations design and development• Selected to complete the design, development, and programming of a computerized test system (A.T.E.). The success of this new system resulted in the computerization of other product lines.• Cut testing time requirements from 10 minutes per unit to 1 minute by developing a computer software program to compute all calculations using both linear and non linear equations. Increased productivity designing and programming computerized test systems.Group leader/Sr. Electronics Technician: (8/75-6/82) Supervised electro-mechanical assembly/test: Promoted from Electronic Technician to Group leader/Sr. Technician to manage the build up of a new product line for a government contract. Directed the successful ramping up of the line, which ran successfully for 8 years, producing more than $3 million in annual sales.
