I retired from the US Navy in June 2017. Still wanting to learn I have received certifications from civilian schools in NAVSTA Bremerton in Precision Measuring Tools (PMT), Limited Asbestos Worker, Category 3 Crane operator non-cab, Half Face Respirator training, New employees OSH orientation, Confined Spaces training, - From the time of my first command, I qualified as a work center supervisor. At my last ship assignment, I managed the most complex maintenance work-center, second only in size to repair division on the destroyer! Containing 23 pieces of galley equipment, over 50 valves, 5; 200-ton Air Conditioning systems, 2 ships steering systems, and more! - As a small boat mechanic, I have been awarded for the maintenance of 52 small boats, 74 outboard engines, and 32 trailers, saving $25k in repairs, at one small boat shop and again for maintaining 100% accuracy at another. - A Tried and true technician I have conducted timely accurate repairs to chill water expansion tanks, potable water pumps, sea water pumps, Trim and Drain pumps, Chlorinators, Reverse Osmosis units, Evaporators, check valves, valve manifolds, air valves, compensating needle valves, throttle valves, gate valves, globe valves, butterfly valves, three-way valves, and various maintenance procedures and testing of all the names equipment. - As a part of the pump and valve shop at IMF Bangor I have become proficient at depot level repairs to many types of impeller pumps, and valves earning a 5th Navy Enlisted Classification Code for pump repair; Navy Afloat Maintenance Training Strategy (NAMTS) in 2016.-Currently working as a mechanic at OSW Equipment and Repair LLC in Snohomish, Washington.I have installed and repaired various different manual and electric tarp systems, and final installation and inspection of standard dump truck and trailer systems.this includes hydraulic and electrical systems and lights.
