I am a senior Captain in the United States Army Logistics Corps, transitioning out of the military through a medical board/discharge. I am currently assigned to the 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team at Fort Cavazos, TX, but will be transitioning to the Chicago, IL area within the next year.I am currently serving as the S4 Officer in Charge (OIC) for the Home Station Mission Command (HSMC) for my Brigade. This includes service supply, transportation, movement of dangerous/sensitive goods, shipment coordination, parts procurement, budget management, and property management for the entire HSMC.I graduated from the University of Indiana - Bloomington in 2016 with a 3.2 GPA, and immediately following was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Army. I have served honorably for the last 8 years as a Transportation Officer / Logistics Officer, including 1.5 years serving as the OIC of the S4 shop at either the Battalion or Brigade level, and 2 years of company command. My company command was of a Forward Support Company (FSC) for the 91st Brigade Engineer Battalion (BEB). In this position I served as the Battalion commander's senior logistics advisor, managed over 150 individual Soldiers/leaders, and coordinated, organized, and facilitated the logistics for the entire Battalion of over 900 Soldiers/leaders.My honors and awards include four Army Achievement Medals (AAM), two Army Commendation Medals (ARCOM), one Meritorious Service Medal (MSM), and numerous "Top Block" or exceeds standards Officer Evaluation Reports (OER).I am looking for logistics opportunities in the Chicago area in any field. I am a quick learner who thrives in chaos, works extremely well with others, has years of leadership/management experience, and has a deep and meaningful understanding of logistics and executing it.
