Responsible for all hardware engineering and testing related to the Retül department of Specialized. The Retül product line focuses on web-connected digital measurement tools that quantify the connection between a cyclist and their equipment so that they can find what works best for them. Led successful hardware development effort to bring the Retül Match Tower to Specialized retailers globally. The Retül Match Tower allows precise 3d measurement of retail customers to quickly and confidently recommend the correct size bike, shoe or saddle. This represents the largest installed base of optical 3D measurement systems in retail across all industries. Key contributor to Specialized "Accelerator" advanced concepts group, working on advanced concept ideation, feasibility, prototyping and testing of concepts that are far beyond the typical development timelines (5+ yr). Responsible for ensuring compliance with global EMC and safety standards. Oversee regulatory testing and certifications for Retül connected digital products.

Led testing R&D. Developed proprietary test methods and equipment to evaluate early-stage concepts and technologies. Responsibilities included: design of experiments, data acquisition, data analysis, failure analysis, test fixture design, and documentation of results.Responsible for development of test methods used to test frames, forks, and components. Including design of experiments, data acquisition, fixture design, and documentation creation.Led test lab correlation effort to insure uniform testing methods and documentation at test labs in multiple countries. Traveled to China and Taiwan to train staff and audit testing correlation. Responsible for training/mentoring of associate engineers, test engineers, and test technicians.

Participated in development and support efforts for PowerTap power meters, Saris car racks, and CycleOps indoor trainers.Worked with regional and overseas vendors to understand manufacturing capabilities, create production tooling and validate pilot production parts.
