Upper School Science Teacher
Current•Currently teach Biology, Physics, and A.P. Chemistry at Temecula Preparatory School.•Have also taught Chemistry, A.P. Environmental Science, Algebra and Geometry. Also highly qualified to teach A.P Biology.•Previously served as Science Department Head and advisor for the FIRST Robotics FRC team at Temecula Preparatory School (TPS).•In three years of teaching all high school-level physical science courses at TPS, raised the CST scores for Chemistry by 34 points and for Physics by 76 points. Had a 30% pass rate for A.P. Chemistry and a 90% pass rate for A.P. Environmental Science.•Possess additional training and expertise in Constructing Meaning, teaching English Language Learners and teaching sexual education.•Instruct students who are culturally, ethnically, and academically diverse. Include differentiation at both ends of the spectrum in lesson plans.•Create daily lesson plans drawing from a range of resources, including: course textbook, supplementary textbooks, vendor resources, consultation with other teachers, the internet, and a wealth of prior experience.•Present content in a variety of formats, including: lecture, board writing, animation, text reading, in-class exercises, hands-on laboratories, internet searches, demonstrations, videos, student projects, and numerous pair and group activities.•Routinely offer tutoring to students before and after school.•Meet and communicate with parents, administrators, counselors, and special education professionals regarding teaching methods and student performance.•Have maintained a school website for the past 8 years.
