I joined the Navy in 2008-2011. While in, I was a military police officer. Once I left the Navy, I began my college work. Between the years of 2011-2017 I received an Associate of Art degree with a focus in education and I received my Bachelor of Art degree majoring in Secondary Education and in History while minoring in Special Education. I graduated with honors from both the Community College of Baltimore County (Associate Degree) and Chestnut Hill College (Bachelor Degree). During this span of almost 6 years, I worked in jobs that were in the fields of security, retail, and hospitality. Once I graduated in 2017 from Chestnut Hill College, I was hired at Derry Township School District as a secondary education, history teacher. I have now been at Derry Township School District for five years. During those five years, I have taught Psychology, World History, and Civics to a range of students from 9th to 12th grade. In addition to the teaching experience, I have also been: a head coach of a little league team for one year, head coach in a men's softball league for three seasons, JV assistant baseball coach for five years, JV baseball head coach for one year, and assistant ninth grade football coach for one year. Currently, I am seeking my Master's degree in Teacher Leadership from the American College of Education. I am on track to graduate in August of 2022. In terms of miscellaneous information, I have been a club advisor for HS film club and have assisted with HS Youth and Government and HS Speech and Debate while at Derry Township School District.
