I assist employers with navigating all phases of workplace issues. I vigorously represent my clients throughout all aspects of the the workers' compensation process, including administrative hearings, alleged violations of specific safety requirements, cases in common pleas court, as well as appellate proceedings. My practice also includes employment law, and issues my clients face with state and federal laws such as the Family and Medical Leave Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act. I help my clients create employment policies and draft handbooks that provide clear guidance to both management and employees regarding the expectations of the employment relationship, in order to avoid costly misunderstandings down the line.I also assist clients with complex settlements, including Medicare Set Aside trusts, annuities and other structured settlements; defend self-insured complaints (although my focus is making sure that my clients never get in a situation where a complaint is filed); and work with the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation for premium and assessment reductions for my clients.
