I started my career working on Marine Diesel Engines when I was only 13 years old. I worked on an old Ice Breaker in the engine room after school. When I got into High School I went to technical school for Diesel Mechanics and have been working on all types of Diesel engines ever since. After bouncing around to different types of shops for a couple years after graduating, I settled down and ran a small engine shop for a couple years. Once I had some business operating experience I opened my own diesel engine repair business. I ran that business for 18 years before coming to Yanmar Marine as the Marine Service Manager. As the needs of the company have changed so have I. Moving from customer support to application specialist and now in training and technical writing working on the technical manuals.
