Conducted CFD Analysis for gas turbine engines using both industrial (Fluent) and proprietary (GE Tacoma) software. Considerable work focused on predicting low pressure turbine (LPT) efficiency, based on 2-D and 3-D blade design. Developed a wind turbine preliminary design code. Also started a wind turbine business development group, seeking contracts for aerodynamic analysis of wind turbine blades.Generated mesh/grids for internal and external flows, including combustion. Ran case studies to see effects of transition and turbulence models on aerodynamic efficiency on turbine blades.Developed design system in TCL to automate several 1-D, 2-D, and 3-D meshing and CFD software tools for centrifugal compressors.Supported 3-D meshing software for several dozen users.Experienced in project planning and management.
