I work to catalyze adoption of industrial hemp as a climate-smart raw material through the Responsible Hemp Standard (RHS), a chain-of-custody certification program that spans the breadth of the crop’s uses from apparel to food, plastics to building materials. Largely, I educate apparel brands on the technical and sustainable advantages of bast fibers and how they can be blended to create innovative new fabric types. Through RHS, we deliver on the promise of hemp as a sustainable emerging material.

As VP of Communications & Business Development for International Hemp (“IH”), I manage sales and marketing strategy, foster strategic partnerships, and support the buildout of the company’s industrial hemp genetics portfolio. IH has invested heavily in the development of fiber and grain hemp genetics and I work closely with farmers and processors to seek their agronomic input and feedback to guide breeding efforts. Most importantly, I align growth and company mission with an eye toward helping transition toward a future powered by bio-based raw materials and plant-based nutrition.

Leveraging my background in market development, strategic communication, and supply chain innovation, I help advise public and private sector clients on navigating the unique challenges and opportunities within the global industrial hemp landscape.With a deep understanding of seed genetics, plant-based nutrition, and bio-based materials, I apply my expertise to assist stakeholders in optimizing operations across the global cannabis value chain. My work focuses on integrating sustainable practices, identifying market opportunities, and fostering innovation to create value-driven, forward-thinking solutions. Drawing on my proven track record in building markets for new agricultural commodities and sustainable alternatives, I provide GPS clients with strategic insights that help them stay ahead in this rapidly evolving and competitive landscape.
