About Eric Skidmore

Eric Skidmore is a saxophonist, composer/arranger, and educator. He completed his BM in Music at Washington State University where he studied jazz with Greg Yasinitsky and Horace Young. As a student, Skidmore won the college composer competition at the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival in Moscow, ID. Since school, he has published charts with Sound Music Publications and UNC Jazz Press. He performed several years with the Kings of Swing in Boise, Idaho. He now directs the Jazz House Big Band in Idaho Falls, Idaho and continues to perform as a freelance woodwind artist. Skidmore is also the band director at Thunder Ridge High School in Idaho Falls and maintains a private teaching studio.
