1 on 1 mentoring with at risk Bucks County youth. As an intern for the Haven Leadership Program, I was responsible for advising a group of new mentors. I had to show them the ropes of the program and how to be a mentor to their mentees. I was also responsible for leading workshops for up and coming mentors. This position also entailed attending meetings with faculty and other interns to discuss the effectiveness of the program.

As a student mentor I was responsible for being a source for incoming freshmen. I was somebody they could turn to whenever they had questions about academics, social life, college in general, or just needed a listening ear. I would lead meetings and workshops teaching others how to be a mentor and leader on campus. As well as my in-semester responsibilities, being a mentor also gave me the opportunity to work summer orientations for incoming freshmen to the university. This entailed being responsible for a group of 10-20 students and making sure their questions were answered, they had a connection coming into college, got where they needed to be, and had a fun time in the process.

With this job I was responsible for loading restaurant equipment on delivery trucks. I would then drive the equipment to its destination, and with the help of my team, unload the truck and put the equipment in place. Responsibilities also included cleaning the trucks, warehouse maintenance, and team deliberation.

I was responsible for setting up the banquet hall before events, bringing food out, clearing tables during the event, and then cleaning up afterward.
