We saw the company grow from a single campus with 3 Production Spaces in Menlo Park with ~6,500 Full Time Employees, to 25+ Production Spaces across the Bay Area and ~70,000 Full Time Employees. As the company grew, Eric was critical in ensuring the AV/Production Services provided to Meta also scaled and grew at the same time with a very high bar of quality. Eric’s technical production knowledge is deep and he is always informed on the latest industry trends and newest products and hardware- While he has a focus on audio engineering, he is also fluent in all AV systems and can speak comfortably to IT industry standards. During our time, he was the #1 person I would shoulder tap when i had a question around how to engineer a solution- He has built bespoke systems for ad-hoc productions with Meta C-Suite, and he has also been a leading influence in driving what global technology AV standards should be applied to Meta’s 100s of Production Spaces to ensure scale, simplicity of operation, maintenance and robust lifecycle. Eric has the ability to operationalize anything- He has built numerous standards that were then adopted and utilized daily by hundreds of global technicians. He has the ability to source, test, influence, document and release standards and improvements to services that both reduce inefficiencies and better support the customer base served. Eric’s project management focuses on leading by gaining XFN buy-in, understanding various team’s roles and goals and coming up with a roadmap which is then vocalized to both internal senior leadership as well as customers with clear metric goals and ROI in mind. He has moved metrics that have saved Meta both OpEx and CapEx through the many project’s he’s worked on, and he does this at a speed that keeps up with the fast pace of the company. Eric is a people leader - He managed over 50 technicians at a time, probably onboarding and supporting over 100 technicians through his tenure at FNTECH. He is an incredibly strong people leader and ensures that the folks he supports are able to get ramped up quickly and grow in their careers to be able to become experts in their fields. Eric is also a mentor to many, ensuring he not only manages the operation but also makes sure he advocates for the folks he supports so that they are well supported personally and empowered under his leadership. Eric and I started at Meta/FNTECH almost a decade ago, and he has never slowed down or waivered. He genuinely has one of the strongest work-ethics of anyone I know. While I will deeply miss working with him, I know that he will be an incredible asset to any future employer."
