I have worked in medicine my entire adult life. I started as an Emergency Medical Technician after earning the certification in high school. I worked as an EMT for several years while preparing to go to Paramedic school. I transitioned jobs in the military to be a flight paramedic. They provided the education and I now serve as a flight paramedic for the Pennsylvania Army National Guard. I continued to hone my medical and critical thinking skills until my latest accomplishment, being hired full-time as a Critical Care Flight Paramedic for Geisinger Life Flight. I have knowledge and experience in Advanced Life Support and Critical Care Transport medicine in the prehospital environment. I have been promoted to management in previous jobs within one year of hire. At a previous job, I was part of a team that developed an Advanced EMT program at an organization that had never utilized them before.I am looking to continue learning more advanced critical care medicine as I continue studying and preparing to apply to a Physician's Assitant program.The best way to contact me is via email at e.smith5868@gmail.com
