Investigated a method of gene therapy that utilizes focused ultrasound for the delivery of functionalized DNA nanoparticles to targeted regions in the brain. Worked with a research team from the Center for Diabetes Technology that was developing a computational model for the glucose-insulin metabolism of Type 1 diabetics following an islet cell transplantaion.
