I have been a fitness enthusiast my entire life. I attended the National Personal Trainer Institute (a six month course on NASM Material) in 2012. I graduated college with a Bachelor's in Exercise Science and completed two 500 hour strength and conditioning internships at Winona State University as well as Marquette University. The last several years I have worked as a Health and Wellness Director at North Homes Children and Family Services. I have organized and implemented recreation and leisure activities for the youth we serve. In January 2018, I started the Spark Program, a multi-dimensional wellness program focusing on cognitive and physical benefits associated with exercise, nutrition, and stress management. Since January 2018, I have been implementing exercise interventions and exploring the positive relationship correlation between resting heart rate, anxiety/depression scores, and aggression displayed on youth that have experienced trauma and/or adverse childhood experiences. I have also found avenues to add value to organizational employees/clients through Spark principles. As of 2022, I am currently a gym manager for 12:12 Fitness in which we use exercise, nutrition, and stress management principles to help enhance the quality of life of everyday people.
