System Engineer / Sub-Element LeadI support the Ground Operations and Logistics Branch as part of the Jacobs ESSSA Group and serve as the Technical Lead for the Space Launch System (SLS) Discrete Event Simulation (DES) Model. As the Technical Lead I am responsible for developing and maintaining the SLS DES Model using ExtendSim to simulate the nominal and off-nominal operations required to manufacture, process, and ready the SLS vehicle for launch. I am the lead for three sub-elements (11 people) that support the Operation Design Lead Engineer, the Booster Element Design Lead Engineer, and Ground Operations.

I supported the Space Systems Operations Branch and the Ground Operations and Logistics Branch as part of the Jacobs ESTS Group. I served as the Technical Lead for the Ares I Launch Availability Model and developed/maintained the model suing ExtendSim to simulate the nominal and off-nominal operations required to manufacture, process, and ready the Ares I vehicle for launch. Trained a team of 5 employees on how the Ares I Launch Availability mode had been developed and how to use it to perform key analysis and trade studies. I led the team on the development of a number of documents supporting the Ares I Launch Availability Model that met requirements levied by the NASA Modeling and Simulation Standard document. Managed a team of five people as the sub-task lead for the Constellation Availability Model Task.

Supported the Advance Concept Office as part of the Jacobs ESTS Group. My primarily responsibility was to support the PARSEC design team in the area of Operational Analysis and Structural Analysis. Participated on the Structure Development Team and supported the development of the iso-grid/monoque tank tool, boom analysis tool, and primary structure analysis tool. Served as the lead Operational Analyst for the PARSEC team.

Supported the Space Transportation Directorate as part of the Marshall Group. My primary project was updating a Discrete Event Simulation (DES) model of the Space Shuttle Main Engines (SSME) maintenance flow that was partially developed in 1996. Worked to increase the level of detail captured by the model so it accurately simulated the maintenance flow of the SSME. Provided operational, reliability, and maintainability support to second generation and next generation projects under development at the Marshall Space Flight Center.
