As the Director of Video Production, my primary objective is to deliver visually captivating content that resonates with the audience.The pre-production phase involves planning to ensure the success of each project. My responsibilities include devising a cohesive video strategy, establishing project timelines, conducting in-depth client research, scheduling, and writing compelling scripts, among other tasks.When we transition to production, my focus isn't solely on the technicalities of lighting or equipment. Above all, it's about creating a comfortable environment for our clients. A relaxed client often provides more authentic responses and is more collaborative, which is essential when capturing dynamic footage that drives a narrative.In the post-production phase, I stand by the principle that 'less is more'. It's not about how long the video is, but how effectively it communicates its message. Each second should engage the audience, ensuring that by the end, they have a clear understanding of the client's product or organization and leave with a positive impression.In summary, as the Director of Video Production, I strive to blend the technical realm with a human touch. From the first stages of pre-production to the final edits in post-production, the goal remains clear: to produce memorable content that not only informs but also resonates with the viewers. It's this balance of artistry and understanding that distinguishes this work. Ultimately what I do isn’t about Makespace or myself, it’s about the client.

I’ve been shooting video and stills since around 2002 when my friends and I would shoot little videos of us riding BMX. Over the years I became more interested in how video can be used creatively to show something unique or get a message across. Since starting out in this business as a hobby I’ve worked for MTV, Papa Johns, KFC, GE, Freightliner Trucks and many other clients. Today I shoot and edit full time and have a range of gear to tackle most any project.

Keep up with the ever changing technology and then shoot and edit cool stuff! Tell stories and create engaging content through video, photos and audio.It's way more interesting than what I wrote above. I've explained it to other people as my job is basically going on field trips which was the most fun part of school.For example, I might be creating a video for how a particular product is used in a factory. I then get to go to the factory, tour it, get an idea for how the factory works. Next I record all the cool processes and machines in action and show how the clients product is used in the factory. At some point during the shoot I'll record interviews with the people in the factory that use the products and how it helps them. Finally I put all the footage on a computer, gather up all the interesting visuals, sound bites, find complementary music and create graphics that end up as a completed video that tells a story.
