I am currently employed as a care coordinator/home care coordinator with Senior Services. Prior to my transition to Senior Services, I was the case manager for Cancer Services. Prior to Cancer Services, I was employed in the health administration industry. I have a combined two years of experience as a Director of Resident Care for a fifty-five bed assisted living facility, and as an Administrator for an eighty-six bed assisted living facility. I currently hold a Bachelor in Business Administration with a concentration in Health Care Management and a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership. Both of my current degrees were obtained through Northwood University. Beginning in January 2023, I am now pursuing a second graduate degree; a masters degree in clinical mental health counseling through Southern New Hampshire University. I am highly involved throughout the Midland community and surrounding areas. I became a Certified Dementia Practitioner in 2018 while employed as the Director of Resident Care for an assisted living facility. In March 2021, I became a Certified Trauma Services Specialist through the Association of Traumatic Stress Specialists. I am also a Board Certified Mental Health Coach and a frequent and dedicated blood donor through Versiti. I was a board of directors member for Home to Stay Housing Assistance Center (formally known as Midland Area Homes) in Midland, MI; more specifically, I was a member of the fund development committee on the Home to Stay Housing Assistance Center board, and consistently worked towards developing and implementing fundraising efforts. Finally, I am currently a member of the Professional Alliance for Senior Services group.I am an advocate for alzheimer’s and dementia patients, and frequently fundraise for alzheimer’s, dementia & cancer. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic I personally raised almost $2,500.00 through small independent fundraisers for Cancer Services. I frequently volunteer in my personal time, as I have a strong desire to give back to my community. It is my mission to continue to support my community in any way I am able to and to continue to educate and advocate for alzheimer’s, dementia and cancer patients. I organized and facilitated the Give Local Midland 2023 24-hour fundraising campaign for Cancer Services and raised just over $12,745.00.
