The service writer my priorities were to help customers with issues pertaining to their iOS devices (iPhones/iPads) and either fix or assist with their issues on the spot or send to Apple or replace via Apples warranty and repair procedures, manage customer iOS devices in repair, sending and receiving devices to and from Apples repair depots. I also had to inspect components via Apples "Visual Mechanical Inspection" guides.I also maintained my roll as a sales associate that I had been doing for over a year prior as the Service specialist also had a sales goal and was responsible for "up-selling" or directing or suggesting to customers to buy accessorizes and new devices when it made sense vs repairing or leaving their old device unprotected (READ: Cases, bags screen protectors etc.). I also needed to still maintain my knowledge of electronics in general alone with all apple products and accessories to help customers when the other sales associates were busy and the service department was not.I was also at times responsible for Opening/closing the store as a key holder, handling cash and doing cash ins and outs, training in new sales associates.
