• Design, provide strategic leadership, and implement Crohn’s and Colitis Canada’s (CCC) public policy and advocacy initiatives.• Work with executive staff in the National office, regional offices across Canada, healthcare and pharmaceutical professionals to ensure coherence, influence, and impact. • Leverage CCC’s efforts in support of people living with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) among health policy decision-makers, strategic allies, and the broader public.• Represent CCC, its vision and mission to Federal, Provincial, Territorial and Municipal (FPTM) governments and parliamentarians, to allies and Canadian partners, to media, to CCC members and supporters, and to the public.• Identify strategic alliances and relationships with others in the Canadian and international health sector and ensures CCC has a coherent strategy of engagement with key allies.Crohn's and Colitis Canada is the only national organization focused on finding the cures for Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis (the two forms of inflammatory bowel disease) and improving the lives of Canadians affected by these diseases. We are one of the top two health charity funders of Crohn's and colitis research in the world, investing over $100 million in research to date. We are transforming the lives of people affected by Crohn's and colitis through research, patient programs, advocacy and awareness.

• Researched and wrote analytical pieces and journal articles on current foreign and defence policy issues.• Conducted media analysis for daily and weekly briefs to the institute’s leadership and external publics.• Helped prepare for, and aided in the logistical support of, the 2014 Ottawa Conference on Defence and Security.

• Implemented goals and objectives reflecting the mission of Paper Kite: To support children without parental care in Bihar, India, by administering programs that deliver proper nutrition, clean water, education, health, and welfare.• Collaborated with the Board of Directors to implement new organization policy and fundraising activities.

• Engaged in successful relationship building with associations, academics, and various other stakeholders.• Drafted petition responses and editorial pieces for news media.• Researched various legislative topics for policy proposals, speaking notes and private member’s bills.• Drafted Question Period statements and speeches.• Summarized media, articles, research papers, and conducted clerical data entry.

• Participated in IAEA Board of Governors’ meeting and consultations to brief senior management.• Researched and wrote reports (both technical and political), briefing notes, and policy analyses regarding international security policy.• Reported on seminars, briefings and consultations run by the UN Secretariat and independent consultants.

• Researched and drafted various thematic reports on time-sensitive political and economic developments in India, and specific topics such as health and disaster management.• Researched and drafted analytical reports to be distributed by the Canadian Federal Government to business and government partners.• Wrote a report on Canadian-Bhutanese relations approved by the High Commissioner and employed as an advocacy tool while meeting with Bhutanese government officials and business leaders. Liaised with the Canadian International Development Agency to develop policy positions.• Delivered a presentation to over 100 Indian students regarding transitioning to university life in Canada.
