About Eric Tierney

I am currently working as a Combustion Engineer at Brayton Energy in Hampton, NH where I assist in the design, development, and testing of a variety of gas turbine technologies. I graduated with my Masters’ degree in Chemical Engineering from Brown University in 2016.I am a diligent and creative worker who enjoys investigating the nuanced and often unnoticed aspects of engineering systems. I have worked and succeeded in fast-paced environments under strict deadlines. I particularly enjoy collaborating with a team on complex projects to produce innovative solutions. At Brown, I worked with Professor Franklin Goldsmith on electronic structure calculations and advancing theory for 1,3-butadiene decomposition. My Masters’ thesis detailed the combustion of Otto Fuel II, the primary torpedo propellant used by the U.S. Navy.
