The system uses JMS and EJBs and Spring JDBC (2.5) and runs in an environment incorporating JBoss (5.1) and ActiveMQ.Designed and implemented some unique features for the application for data throttling (adjusting the flow of data coming from the stores) and for error recovery (handling network outages in a graceful manner).

Developed several web-based user interfaces using JSF and Struts (1.3). Led a team of five graduate students in the design, implementation, and operation of the AAW.Developed mathematical and procedural algorithms to control the robotic movement of each collar as it was loaded/unloaded into/from turning and pressing devices based on vision sensor inputs. Created C and V+ programs to direct the robot, to operate the other AAW devices, and to coordinate the exchange of information among the AAW’s three computer systems.
