Eric Trope is a professional dancer, choreographer, and recently cofounded the nonprofit Buddy System MIA. He will begin his eighth season with the Miami City Ballet this August. He previously danced with the Pennsylvania Ballet and trained at the School of American Ballet. Eric has danced a variety of principal, soloist and corps roles and has toured extensively including the NY State Theater in Lincoln Center, the Music Center in LA, and the National Arts Centre in Ottawa. As a choreographer, his work was presented at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts for the finale of the prestigious Mainly Mozart Festival in the summer of 2019. He was also selected to participate in the 2017 Fall Session of the New York Choreographic Institute, an affiliate of the New York City Ballet. Finally, in April of 2020 he co-founded Buddy System MIA, a volunteer placement program helping to bring food and sustainable resources to the most vulnerable populations in the Miami community.
