About Eric Vickrey
I am a full-time physician assistant with more than 20 years of experience in emergency medicine and hematology/oncology. When not treating patients, I am often watching or writing about baseball. I have contributed numerous articles online and in print through the Society for American Baseball Research and have written two books: Runnin' Redbirds: The World Champion 1982 St. Louis Cardinals (McFarland, 2023) and Season of Shattered Dreams: Postwar Baseball, the Spokane Indians, and a Tragic Bus Crash That Changed Everything (Rowman and Littlefield, 2024). I also enjoy traveling, hiking, concerts, and hanging out at home with my wife and our three pets.
