Eric Watson is a Elite Plus Personal Trainer at Goodlife Fitness at Goodlife Fitness. Colleagues describe him as "I have worked with four or five personal trainers over the last several years at other gyms across Canada. Each of them had skills that helped me advance my fitness goals but each time I felt the advancement was stalled and eventually felt like I was working out with a gym buddy rather than a paid trainer. In September 2006 I had been without a trainer for some time, and in fact had stopped going to a gym for several months, when a friend’s praise of the GoodLife on Queen Street prompted me to come and take a look. I signed up for a membership that same day and for an initial six sessions of personal training. By luck of the draw, Eric Watson called me to offer his services as trainer. The first couple sessions were enough for me to realize that Eric is a trainer above and beyond any I had ever worked with before. He was able to identify problems with my technique which were limiting my success in muscle development. More importantly he was able to explain the problem, explain the solution and then walk me through implementing it. It turns out Eric's hands-on technique - which helps identify the muscle to be recruited, and the knowledge behind it, was not a short-lived success. Eric has used his thorough knowledge of kinetics and his comfort in working with people, to help me progress continuously since that time. He regularly suggests new techniques and often mentions in passing that he has been “practicing” new exercises during his own workouts, so that he knows what will work well when he meets me. In only a few months months, and thanks entirely to Eric and his motivating me, I’m even SEEING a difference and starting to look forward to beach season!"
