Provide Kofax Capture (9 – 10) server and Kofax Collection Server setup to feed the main capture server. This included maintaining the servers, operating systems and document capture software package. Worked with client to train operators in the use of the Kofax Capture modules. Beginning to end Kofax Batch class, VRS, and remote site profile setup. Starting with the document prep, bar coding if needed and database look ups. Document separation, identification, extraction, and release modules to SQL, MDB, Share point, and TXT files. Tools like notepad, notepad++, Excel, Access, SQL Management Studio, command line scripting to manage the data and images for ingestion into a content management system, Laserfiche, Share point, and custom client web delivery systems. Provide remote support for my clients and their users to help maintain smooth daily operations.

This company started in 2008 after breaking away from Spectrum Information Services. Member of a two man IT staff that needed to get the company on-line ASAP. Four windows 2003 servers, file system, SQL, Kofax Capture server and a web server that doubled as a Kofax Collection Server. Built out these servers and deployed them to the server room, wired the production floor LAN which was a different network segment completely. Configured and tested a dozen workstations with production and QC scanners. Imported batch class configurations for the clients that moved with the company, tested their job processes and had the company up and running in a week and a half scanning paper and delivering images and data back to customers.Responsibilities included Documentation / PowerPoint and Technical for end users, Kofax Capture(8.0 – 9.0 and service packs) batch class setup with document separation, recognition, and data capture (OCR, ICR, OMR). Provided outputs as specified by the customer (SQL, MDB file, TXT file, MS Sharepoint, with TIF, and or PDF images). Document full OCR and compression for faster web delivery using Cvision pdf compressor. Provided support for remote Kofax deployments, custom web delivery portals, and maintenance. While here I took the lead on the company's continuity / disaster recovery plan. Researched plan requirements so the company could move forward in its goals of SAS70 and HIPPA certifications. Working with management, IT, and HR to successfully built a plan. Deployed and tested the plan while there, this enabled the company to receive its HIPPA certification. Responsibilities included project management / documentation, Technical documentation, and training material for end users, including user manuals, IT technical instructions, automated PowerPoint demos. As job duties increased I acquired certification in Kofax Capture (7.0-7.5 and service packs) batch class setup, VRS profiles, document separation, recognition, and data capture (OCR, ICR, OMR). In 2008 the company split in two. I would be leaving with the new company, and was part of the planning for the technology split so that both companies could operate successfully.

I started at M.R. Bracey construction with little construction experience. Starting off in the office I began to expand on my knowledge by pouring over plans and specifications. Putting to use my math and geometry skills while doing plan take-offs. As a general contractor we supervise sub- contractors in their work. This began during the biding process. With hundreds of subcontractor bid's from multiple disciplines being received a check sum needed to be in place to quickly identify a subcontractors bid that they may have missed or plan to exclude. This continued for three and a half years; at which time my duties changed to that of an on-site superintendent. Monitoring the day to day on-site work of our subcontractors, working with the client or construction managers to provide a superior product. Through out my time with M.R. Bracey construction, I managed their computer hardware, software, and technology services; at the time I was going to DeVry University part time at night for my bachelors degree in telecommunications and computer networking. I migrated the companies servers from a Novel netware product to a windows 2000 server with active directory and supported and upgraded workstations from Windows 95 through Windows XP.

Project manager responsible for coordinating work with the Claremont School District, Condit Elementary, and project participants.The project consisted of a meeting with all parties to generate a project scope, a site survey was completed to inventory equipment already in place. Network / equipment map was created to identify any required materials or equipment. Provided project schedule and materials lists.Installed network cabling and wire management, Network Switches to provide a new computer lab, and network access in every class room for access to school districts WAN, and Internet.Both Mac and PC computers were add to the network and a new IP schema was implemented and all computer labeled for fast identification.This project restored Internet connectivity to 100 percent of the computers and class rooms.
