ABARTA, Inc. is a diversified third and fourth generation family business with a Coca-Cola bottling and distribution subsidiary.

Managed the Energy & Innovation group at PNC. Our group set the Operational Environmental Targets for the company and works to achieve them. Current goals: 100% purchased electricity from renewable sources by 2025, reduce carbon emissions for Scope 1 and 2 80% by 2030, and reduce energy consumption and water consumption each 30% by 2030 (base year 2022 for carbon, energy, and water).

Constantly sought ways to improve building sustainability, efficiency, and intelligence across PNC's footprint through research and innovation. Developed and managed the renewable energy strategy on the path to RE100.

Assisted the Environmental Assessments team with day-to-day tasks. Primarily helped with the Disney Climate Solutions Fund (carbon offsetting program), by conducting research on carbon markets and carbon verification standards, as well as making documents to highlight specific projects. Additionally supported other team members with tasks relating to Disney's environmental targets and goals.

Interned for one month in South Africa predominantly on a game preserve with this non-profit organization. The aim of the internship was to increase youth awareness about conservation issues currently facing the African Wildlife. I took photographs, wrote conservation blogs, and produced a short film on the rhino poaching crisis.

Assisted the Energy Diplomacy team's Middle East desk in tracking the flow of energy goods. Additionally provided the Energy Diplomacy office with one-page fact sheets for various countries with information on the import, export, production, and consumption of energy commodities. Learned a basic knowledge of the Bloomberg terminal's ability to track energy commodities.

Provided the office with assistance in constituent communication through telephone calls and letter responses. Attended briefings pertaining to the House Agriculture Committee and takes notes for the Legislative Assistant. Conducted tours of the Capitol building to constituents.

Assisted in digitizing all legal documents as a member of the Land Department which aided in efficiency and organization. The position was predominantly clerical, yet a great working environment led to a very supportive, enlightening and motivating internship.

Compiled a database of water infiltration rates for a dozen rain gardens in Pittsburgh. Monitored water infiltration rates of existing rain garden locations as well as potential rain garden sites. Developed database from collected findings for comparison. Assessed collected data and completed an analysis for use as infiltration parameters for various soil types in Pittsburgh.
