Airshine Music School is a musical community where we value excellence, creativity, and artistic expression. Teachers guide students individually as they grow in knowledge and experience. Every aspect of what we do keeps the student at the center of education.Airshine Music School offers private and group lessons in piano, guitar, singing, and preschool music. Group lessons are most successful with two or more students at the same level of playing and who progress at a similar pace.

Kindergarten through 3rd grade music educationI taught students the basic building blocks of music, like melody, harmony, rhythm, steady beat, and music notation. I used rhythm instruments, singing and classroom instruments, such as recorders and xylophones. I also directed the Glee Club and performed songs at the Annual SoNo festival in December 2011. I assisted the parent volunteers in producing the annual variety show in Spring 2012.

As Membership Director: Promoted to current position to increase membership, revenue, and retention which is achieved by directing efforts for membership support from listeners, including on-air, direct mail, event, and telemarketing campaigns. Consistently achieved high donor satisfaction, improvements to the bottom line and turnaround of underperforming operations. Respected contributor to audience- and donor-centered organization; instilled a shared, enthusiastic commitment to listener and donor satisfaction as a key driver of company goal attainment. Led by example and ensure the successful execution of all efforts to gain donations from new, current and expired members.Selected Contributions:Produced two on-air campaigns that have raised $90,000 (Fall 2009) and $80,000 (Spring 2010) for KSDS. Under my supervision, the campaigns have increased on-air hosts involvement, corporate support, and overall membership.Introduced new member benefits program to provide additional benefits for increased donation amount, including the introduction of the mid-level giving group, the "Cotton Club," for whom the station hosts five appreciation events annually.Increased membership total by 7% in the 07-08 fiscal year.Improved member retention overall by 2% and first-year retention by 20%.Co-produced 1-day membership campaign (Spring 2009) that grossed $61,000, a fundraising record for the organization.Exemplified the second-to-none customer service to which I contributed increased membership revenue in a down economy.As Education Coordinator: responsible for the three educational programs (Music Matters instrument donation program, City College Educational Jazz Festival, and Radio/TV Department Internships); as well as planning and implementing new programs and partnerships.

Assisted Executive Director to solicit in-kind donations for donor events, administered grant proposals, assisted board members to plan special events, and cultivated relationships with corporate, foundation and individual donors.
