Founded in 1988, Mainly Mozart’s mission is to enrich the lives of today’s and tomorrow’s passionate music lovers by connecting them to the genius and innovation of Mozart and the Masters, to world-class musicians and music-making, and to each other. For twenty-seven years, Mainly Mozart has been a mission-driven organization with one guiding inspiration: Mozart. His music, his mastery, and all that he embodied as a multi-faceted man inspires our mission and vision—and is what sets us apart. Mozart personifies much more than classical music. He exemplifies prodigy, composer, genius, innovator, collaborator—and Mainly Mozart is driven to express these qualities in everything we produce. With our namesake as our guiding force, we turn the qualities of Mozart into impact in the community through: 1. Sustaining a commitment to core classical programming distinguished by intelligent curation, brilliant performance, and innovative delivery through four annual series. 2. Showcasing the Mainly Mozart Festival Orchestra, the nation's largest assemblage of concertmasters and principal players from North America's leading orchestras, performing under the baton of Maestro Michael Francis. 3. Providing quality musical education to children through the Mainly Mozart Youth Orchestra. 4. Spearheading innovation through a series that crosses the boundaries of music, science, medicine, and exploration, Mozart & the Mind: Exploring the Music-Brain Effect. 5. Uniting the community in shared experience through over 20 free concerts, events, rehearsals, and outreach to over 13,000 members of underserved communities.
