I have the honor of serving the City of Sioux Falls and Mayor Paul TenHaken as Chief of Staff. I partner with Mayor TenHaken on developing strategic initiatives, enhancing community relations, and driving the execution of key organizational operations. Drawing from two decades of professional experience, I specialize in vision casting, conflict resolution, and solving complex problems, all in the service of the organization, the community, and the state I love. My core values of loving hard, staying centered and acting courageously drive me to embody my purpose as a sensemaker, strategist and catalyst. I’m fueled by emboldening people to cultivate vibrant growth for themselves, their family, and their community. Over the past five years, I’ve been fortunate to engage in countless opportunities to do just that. Through building and nurturing our One Sioux Falls and One Team culture, we’ve partnered with the community to navigate numerous challenges and create paths for sustainable growth, enhancing the well-being of our community and its people. Before taking on my current role with the City of Sioux Falls, I served as Vice President of Development for Lloyd Companies. In this position, I was entrusted with leading business strategy, external market development, marketing, and public relations. Prior to my time with Lloyd Companies, I had the privilege of spearheading leadership development at Raven Industries, a global innovation and technology company dedicated to aiding farmers in feeding the world. During this period of private sector service, I was recognized by the Prairie Business Journal as one of the region’s leading women in business and as the inaugural winner of the Steve Metli Vision Award from Downtown Sioux Falls. The depth of my relationship with God along with the health of my nuclear family are my first priorities. My husband, Ivan, and I have been married for 26 incredible years. Ivan travels the world as the Senior Director of International Sales for the US Cheese Division at Agropur. We are not only devoted parents but also new grandparents. I'm honored to share my insights and experiences on topics such as crisis leadership, scaling a community and organization for growth, leading oneself effectively, and navigating life transitions.
