Profile bio

About Erica Bishop

I manage Water Forum's $14 million habitat and science program for the Lower American River. I'm excited to lead planning and implementation of salmonid habitat and multi-benefit projects and oversee comprehensive monitoring and special studies that inform our understanding of fisheries and river health. With almost 20 years of experience in water and environmental resource management, policy development, and project implementation, I’ve enjoyed work in watersheds throughout California; from geomorphic surveys in headwater streams, to foothill spillway investigations and Wild & Scenic assessments, down to Central Valley water supply operations and flood management. Before coming to the Water Forum, I supported Federal, State, and local agencies on projects where my interdisciplinary background in watershed science helped to bridge the gap between experts, agencies, and stakeholders living and working in California’s complex environment. I was selected as the Water Forum’s Habitat and Science Program Manager in July 2021 and look forward to guiding these efforts as we look ahead to the next 20 years of collaborative stewardship of our region’s water supply and protecting the invaluable resources of the Lower American River.

Listed skills include Water Resources, Hydrology, Water Quality, Arcgis, and 25 others.
