Happ E. SexTalk, LLC. strives to create a space for teens and young females where their sense of sexual empowerment & self-esteem can further grow & develop. This is accomplished by providing media literacy education & creating discussions about the negative messages, sexism, double standards, and hypersexualized images of female sexuality in media & pop culture that deeply destroy ones sexual identity development. We help them build critical analyzing skills they can use to challenge these negative media messages & portrayals pertaining to their sexuality. This experience of utilizing media literacy skills against the messages and portrayals in the media provides an opportunity for teens & young females to feel in control of their sexuality, possibly for the first time in their lives, which provides them with a sense of sexual empowerment & self-esteem about their sexual behaviors & identity development in the future.

Providing 6th, 7th and 8th grade classes with a series of sessions focused on the following topics: puberty, anatomy and physiology, fertilization/contraception, pregnancy, HIV/AIDS, STI’s and safe sex practices (including abstinence)There will also be some brief discussions about accurate medical language to use for body parts instead of slang terminology, decision making, stereotypes and gender norms woven into session activities throughout!

For the Female Adolescent Development Study, a grant awarded to Cincinnati Children's Hospital and funded by The National Institutes of Health (NIH), to conduct a systematic observational study of abused females focused on understanding the various psychosocial and contextual pathways to teen pregnancy and motherhood. The overarching goal of this research is to inform the design and implementation of treatment, prevention and intervention programs for this all-to-often-overlooked group of high needs kids. Responsible for management of study data including data entry and ensuring accuracy of data entry.Conducting research protocols and administering all of the study-related documents.Supervision and training of all volunteers for the study.Assist with literature searches and writing processes with regards to dissemination of findings. Conduct compares and assist in analysis of findings. Create and manage all databases and codebooks needed for each individual study-related document administered during the protocols. Recruitment and retention of 108 families that are solely my responsibility.Assist with writing syntax for compare files.
