From our humbling beginnings as a tumblr blog, the goal for Happ E. SexTalk has always been to create safer spaces that normalize conversations about pleasure, sex and sexuality. Our comprehensive approach to sex education allows for conversations about holistic sexuality and navigating all parts of ones sexuality as opposed to just focusing on a few. It’s important to us that everyone leaves the space feeling confident in discovering their own bodies, their partners bodies, and gaining a new sense of autonomy and agency over their own sexuality. Happ E. SexTalk believes medically accurate, affirming and comprehensive sex education is a basic human right. HAPPE is an acronym that stands for Healthy, Affirming, Positive, Pleasurable and Educated. It’s important to us that anything we have our hands in includes these principles. Having an atmosphere that’s healthy, affirming, positive, pleasurable and educated allows for open, honest and understanding dialogue - even among strangers. When these principles are also incorporated into the content being used or provided, it’s a way for us to ensure a holistic view of sex, sexuality and pleasure. It’s what we feel a strong foundation for safer spaces can be made from.
