Onboarding of 30 newly assigned NRAC (Navy Reserve Accession Course) Members in the computer lab in obtaining their NMCI accounts and completing the many tests and surveys required by NMCI for certification. This work was part of the largest IT evolution in unified services in the history of the United States.Trained and supervised technicians in the work center functions and processes. Performed Staging and Deployment activities in support of command wide seat rollout in preparation for Navy Marine Corps Intranet Integration Planned and executed the base loading/imaging of the new Dell systems in accordance with Naval standards. Organized and facilitated the migration efforts of user data remotely over the Legacy network systems. Staged machines and ensured accountability for inventory and receipt of more than 3,400 workstations. Maintained repairs and replacement of both laser and ink jet printers (cleanings, jams, and fuser replacement). Extensive troubleshooting of GFE (Government Furnished Equipment) for reuse or donation to local school systems. Single point of contact for all Hardware related issues. Planned and Deployed KVM technology to increase deployment by more than 200% from 5 machines per bench in the work center allowing 24 machines per bench and minimizing damage and loss of peripherals, no longer needed with the advent of KVM technology. Responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of all Forward Operating Base (Tent City) communication.LAN (Local Area Network) – Standalone network for Camp Bucca resources – cabling, power redundancy, etc….re-routed network communications topologies. CAT5, 5e, 6 and validated the fiber runs; SIPR (Classified Defense Network Support); NIPR ( Non-Classified Internet Protocol Router); SINCGARS (Single Channel Ground and Airborne Radio System); TACSAT (Tactical Satellite); Handheld ICOM radios/ICOM base stations and repeaters.Led and supervised a 10 man crew in the building of a SPAWAR (Space and Naval Warfare Systems/MWR (Morale, Welfare and Recreation facility (Internet/Phone Café). Remodeled a rundown building to create a suitable site, developed software packages and created an image. Rolled out computers, installed switches and VoIP phones. Maintained and provided training on DIMS (Detainee Information Management System) and BATS (Biometrics Automated Tool Set) operations.Developed plan to separate the two systems onto different servers resulting in faster access, more room for the ever growing amount of data and saving the government money.Established two communication centers equipped with all forms of communications used on the FOB (Forward Operating Base) and in Iraq in order to monitor each allowing for quick response times to communication issues. Developed a frequency plan, programmed and distributed radios used throughout the FOB.Tasked with troubleshooting the TACSAT to fix a theatre (Iraq) wide secure communications problem. My team and I were sent to Baghdad to fix their TACSAT as well as other networking issues. Troubleshot and repaired LRAD and MRAD (Long/Medium Range Acoustic Device) resulting in saving approximately $70,000. Later became Assistant Quad Section Leader during detainee operations. Led 1 of 4 teams of 6 personnel in maintaining control of over 1000 detainees and everyday operations of the compound
