When President Kennedy was visiting NASA in 1963, he stopped a janitor sweeping the floors and asked him, "Sir, what do you do here at NASA?" The man straightened up, looked the President in the eye and responded, "I am helping to put a man on the moon." This encapsulates the core belief I have always pursued - to be engaged in meaningful, impactful organizations, where every level, every position, every employee is united around a mission to leave the world better than they found it. My background across public, private, and nonprofit sectors has demonstrated a through-line of leadership, creativity, and a data-oriented approach to finding efficiencies in the short and long term that has consistently left my organizations in a better position that when I came in. I have taken on major projects with joy and I have slogged through the most mundane tasks, knowing that efforts big and small are essential to the outcomes my teams seek. And outcomes, not inputs, have been my focus across my 15 years of experience making businesses, governments, nonprofits, campaigns, and political organizations incrementally and notably better off.
