Do you need skilled developers to stay ahead of the competition? Have you designed technology to revolutionize your space, but can't hire the quality talent you need? You likely already know that U.S. and Western European developers are hard to hire as well as very expensive. You also know that services from cheaper regions lack the quality you need. I suggest you leverage Eastern European expertise and precision. A metrics-driven organization is critical, and it is best to have a North American-based account manager. This is the best value in the world today.I've worked with Software Engineering Service firms from Ukrainian in the past. I was sold on the region's talent. Once I'd spoken with the CEO, and learned about their team, I was sold on Geniusee. Not to mention how thoughtful their contingency plan was to mitigate current events.Geniusee has brought me on board as a fractional VP of Sales Operations to accelerate their expansion into North America. My years of experience as a developer, sale executive, and sales engineer makes it possible to get the right message to all stakeholders, in the right vernacular. Reach out to me to learn for yourself!

Recovered From Auto Accident, Then Sought New Role As Senior Sales Engineer/Solutions Consultant

In August while a passenger in a crew vehicle on the Bonneville Salt Flats, I was in a serious head-on collision with a spectator's vehicle. This resulted in more than a month in the hospital followed by months in a wheelchair or walker. My role at the time was too critical for Mattermost to wait for my recovery and return. Grateful to have survived, and thankful for the extremely skilled people at the University of Utah Hospital.

Sales Engineer, Director Of Sales Engineering

Palo Alto, California, Us

Left on Disability in August of 2017 - automotive accident.Hired to:* Create integrations in GoLang* Create demo flows* Speak at conferences* Build out Sales Engineering TeamAs the first public-facing technical hire I was brought on to lead up Sales Engineering as well as be the tech evangelist. That expanded role would have included blogging, speaking at conferences, developing demos, improving documentation, creating process and enabling other team members to better sell the solution. Besides managing the technical sales process I also would have served as an interface between the Sales and Product teams. In August I was a passenger in a head-on collision and went on disability. With the critical nature of my role Mattermost had to refill the position prior to my recovery and return. Having only 19 full time employees at the time and being pre-funding they were too small to have any other comparable roles to offer me once I did recover. I was technically on their books until December but was on unpaid disability for most of that time.

* Developed and wrote weekly newsletter with 89% readership rate* Created 61 table RDBMS system in MySQL for SQL of entire social network* 40 KLOCs of Perl * JavaScript * DNS server setup and maintenance* Email/SMTP server setup and maintenance While at GarageCity, I was responsible for system architecture, creating the relational database plus coding a complete social network from a Full-Stack perspective. This included creating several AI web spiders that pulled in event information that dwarfed even what Hemmings (the "automotive bible") had to offer. I enjoyed shifting effortlessly from Perl to JavaScript to SQL through each day as I built and enhanced the site.Besides the development, I was responsible for much of the architecture outside of the actual site. This included setting up and maintaining E-mail, DNS, Database and Web Servers (Apache) as well as configuring the network and firewall.

* IT Operations - responsible for monitoring of SaaS offering* Nagios* DevOps * APM/Application Performance Management* Linux, SMTP, SNMPAs employee #5 (after the 3 founders and office manager) on the team, I was involved with various infrastructure systems plus the monitoring of their SaaS offering. Those systems included web based collaboration tools, a support ticketing tool and the monitoring done on 150 servers in a distributed network. In 2007 the NOC/SOC (Security Operations Center) leveraged five 42" flat screens to display and prioritize data for those servers. This system was also used when potential and current investors visited to give them a view of what we were doing. I was responsible for the design, installation, maintenance and implementation of this system. The key parts were custom Nagios plugins that could do trending as well as a deep understanding of the AntiSpam application itself. The monitored parameters, as well as thresholds, changed week to week as the developers enhanced the solution and we found the next code section to optimize. This was DevOps before they called it DevOps. At the same time I was as deep in IT Operations as one could be.I also developed a self-contained, highly reliable, stable and secure custom Linux install that could build a system in 15 minutes with minimal interaction. Just boot off the CD, answer 4 questions and the system would fully build and configure itself for deployment with all the needed applications and configurations to be a custom anti-spam mail gateway - ready to deploy!

Oct 2005 - Mar 2008

It Engineer

Cerent/Cisco Systems

* ETL (Extract Transform Load) from ERP and Schematic Capture applications* Web Development in Perl, Java and JavaScript* Database/SQLWhile at Fiberlane/Cerent, I integrated various Information Systems. I also was tasked to be on the small team that implemented the BaaN ERP system. This involved anchoring it to various schematic capture tools and a legacy database. In my role I also handled legacy data transfer into the Agile PDM system, and tied the PDM system to Quality Tracking System (QFS), legacy databases and schematic capture tools. I was also involved with the CAD applications, component database infrastructure, WWW CGI-BIN automation, and assisted the implementation, maintenance and customization of ClearDDTS Bug Tracking system. In the end my scripts touched, modified and integrity checked the data all the way from schematic capture and PCB layout to the manufacturing plant. Very complex form of ETL. Cerent was acquired by Cisco Systems for $7.3 billion in 2000. During the acquisition, I extracted data from the Agile PDM system for integration into Cisco. This involved extensive data integrity checking between systems. After that I transitioned to being an IT Engineer and was involved with the design, development or enhancement of 12 different Web based applications for internal Cisco use. These were implemented in Perl or Java and leveraged HTML, css, JavaScript and SQL with Oracle.
