Throughout my service in the military, I experienced diverse environments and people. I was blessed with leaders that provided unique experiences and values. "If you don't keep an open mind, you will never learn." One leader said this to me during my six-year tenure in the Army as an IT Specialist. This taught me the importance of taking value in mentorship.- The power of perseverance and determination to get tasks completed, even if the task appeared impossible.- They set expectations for me higher than I ever did for myself, motivating and supporting me to exceed expectations, allowing me to believe in myself.- Everyone fails, what matters is what you do after failing. Learning and growing from these experiences, is what matters most.- No matter how high you go, never forget about the poor man when you reach the top. With my unique experience in the military, I have taken pride in my ability to adapt and critically think in high-end environments. After serving 4 years in the military, I was promoted to a Non-Commissioned Officer. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve as a leader passing on the teachings I inherited from my mentors to the next generations. I am looking for my next team in the civilian sector where I can continue to apply my values and bring my experience from the military to improve operations and create a positive environment.
