About Eric Dahlin

I love marketing. Plain and simple. I realized my passion for it after taking my first marketing class. Through school and my career I’ve learned that marketing is no longer just about getting people to buy your products. Marketing today is about connecting with your audience on a truly personalized level. This type of influence goes beyond individual transactions. It has the power to build trust and change customer behavior for a lifetime.Although I’ve had “digital marketing” or “digital communications” in my job titles my whole career, I’ve always considered my roles to be broader than digital marketing. I prefer to think of myself as a modern marketer. Modern marketing means being able to take a message and figure out the best way to communicate it to the right audience at the right time. Modern marketers are not tied to a specific medium or channel, they have many different tools in their toolkit.One of the tools I've been fortunate to work with during the past 13 years at Cummins Inc. has been the Oracle Eloqua marketing automation system. I’ve seen firsthand how a company can go from batch-and-blast email sends, to recognizing the digital body language of an audience, and nurturing them over time using a multi-channel integrated marketing campaign. That is how lasting relationships are born between company and customer in 2023.Expanding my knowledge of the marketing tools at my disposal, or the latest trends in the industry is very important to me. I am Oracle Eloqua B2B Master and Luminary certified and hold my Google Analytics Individual Qualification. I have six years of on the job experience managing Google AdWords campaigns and I’ve completed numerous marketing courses from the Corporate Executive Board (CEB).I’m always interested in connecting with other professionals who share my passion for modern marketing.
