Experience with operation procedures on Fluidized bed Catalytic Crackers, Crude distillation units, and Hydrofluoric acid alkylization units. Worked in a limited role as temporary move-up supervisor/CA for both large maintenance projects and routine maintenance as well as equipment/procedural trainer when the opportunity arose

Worked with maintenance mechanics, instrument technicians, and operators during routine and capital maintenance of process equipment in a GMP environment. Duties included -Instrumentation troubleshooting and repair, as well as performing 5 point calibrations and maintaining calibration records for certified transmitters; Removal, overhaul, installation and wiring of 3 phase motors, as well as the corresponding variable speed drive controllers. Fabrication and installation of process piping, including threaded connections, TIG and SMAW welded piping installations. Completed the diagnosis, maintenance and repair of packing equipment, conveyors, filter house controls, and other equipment associated with precipitated silica production. Removed and overhauled pumps, blowers, grinders, and pulverization equipment. Serviced and repaired spray driers, press plate separators, as well as their control systems. Maintenance and repair of boiler, boiler control systems, and associated feedwater systems.

Worked closely with operations, other instrument technicians and contractor maintenance personnel for the routine maintenance and new installation of instruments critical to the operations of the refinery, including superheated boilers, large heaters, reactors, fractionalization towers, wastewater systems, and other pressurized vessels.Duties included -Troubleshooting, Calibration and repair or various types of Foxboro and Rosemount transmitters. Used Emerson HART, and Foxboro FOXCOM programming protocols as an aid for diagnosis and setup, Worked with Control systems group to repair Foxboro DCS system, as well as replacement of cards, power supplies, and control modules when needed. Worked in the Control Valve shop, servicing, programming, as well as the total repair of various types of control valves, including Fisher, Flowserve, and Masonelian. Assisted Analyzer Technicians with routine tasks, and performed weekend CEMS routes as well as basic analyzer repairs.

Assisted electricians with routine maintenance and troubleshooting electrical problems throughout a coal fired power plant. Duties included -Electrical motor disconnects and re-terminations; sootblower diagnosis, repair and replacement, lighting repair and installation, medium and high voltage breaker rebuilding and testing.

Assisted full time Boiler technicians with the day to day operations and maintenance of various systems associated with greenhouse climate control systems. Duties Included- Rebuilding, repair and installation of steam traps, condensate pots and steam coils, Testing, troubleshooting and repair of boiler control systems, including level and pressure switches. Performed various boiler operation tasks in compliance with established procedures, such as blow-downs and checking and maintaining boiler chemistry.
