• Managed cross-functional “Core Teams” in the development and execution of strategic initiatives for various non-powered lawn and garden products. Directly responsible for supervision of a Product Manager.• Secured a $2.5 million investment from the Board at Ames True Temper to fund the development of a replacement for our highest volume product in the hose reel category. Year 1 yielded sales of $10 million and profit of $3 million. For Year 2, developed a line extension that offered channel differentiation and was forecast to return incremental profit of $150k on a $26k investment.• Created two unique hose reels based off one set of tooling in order to minimize investment, optimize financial payback and allow for channel differentiation at retail. This strategy allowed the products to be listed as exclusive items at two major retailers, without compromising pricing. Products were forecast to earn $7 million sales and $2.7 million in profit, at a 15% cost savings over the product they replaced.• Reworked the entire Asian-manufactured product line of an acquired company by developing new product specifications based on consumer research. The revamped program included a patent pending design and breakthrough packaging, which helped secure a $2 million account by displacing a 15-year incumbent.• Entered a new distribution channel, QVC, by configuring a product with innovative packaging that met strict shipping requirements. The product’s first single airing resulted in sales of 41k units at a net profit of $516k.

• Led cross-functional “Business Management Teams” and developed marketing plans for two global product lines in the power tool accessories industry. Routinely presented plans to Executive Board for approval.• Launched an award-winning new product line at Bosch, which addressed the number one customer complaint while simultaneously improving ease-of-use. Global sales were expected to increase 60% to $8 million annually, establishing Bosch as a viable competitor in a previously neglected market.• Grew sales of a commodity product line using a blended sourcing strategy (domestic and import) to fend off competitive low cost import products and retain shelf-space at retail level.
