Created a model of fluid flow through porous media as a function of pore size and pore geometries using COMSOL Multiphysics modeling software. Applied this model to characterize fluid flow through porous media in groundwater systems to simulate environmental transport of contaminant plumes. The model was also applied to optimize fluid flow through synthetic membranes for solute and nanoparticle filtration.
