I lead a very talented team of distinguished and principal solutions architects working across the Cisco portfolio to create unique solutions for our customers. Areas of focus for the team include AI infrastructure, SD-WAN, Cloud Edge, automation, orchestration, insights, secure networking, and wired/wireless infrastructure. My role is to enable the team to succeed through coaching, guidance, and by clearing noise so they can they can focus on the most critical tasks. I’m also the strategy and planning leader for the GES solutions engineering organization. This is a chief of staff function for the VP of solutions engineering. I help guide our direction on competitive enablement, sales tools, metrics, voice of the customer activities, compensation plans, coverage models, training and development strategies, our rewards and recognition programs, and various other go-to-market and strategy activities. Success is meeting our business objectives while keeping our customers content, keeping my team excited and motivated, and seeing our customers requirements integrated into the product roadmap.

In my first role at Cisco, I provided customers with pre-sales technical support for our complete portfolio of solutions. I created training materials and lab exercises for customers on several technologies, including IPSEC VPN, firewalls, network management, switching, routing, and wireless.

During my time at Lockheed Martin, I was responsible for the design, integration, and testing of the mission-critical, fault-tolerant IP networking infrastructure for AEGIS Warships. I tested, evaluated, and recommended commercial networking equipment to meet Navy AEGIS specifications.

In this role, I designed, configured, tested, and installed FDDI and Ethernet-based air traffic control networks on U.S. Navy aircraft carriers and land-based training sites. I also designed fiber optic cable plants, which were then installed and tested on aircraft carriers. To support my designs, I developed all documentation and training material.
