Contracted Business Analyst Consultant

Contracted out to The Northern Trust as an analyst. Contributed to the Role Based Access Control (RBAC) project. By contacting managers I was able to help in establishing controlled access throughout The Northern Trust based on an individuals title. Limiting the reading, writing capabilities, controlled access and other entitlements the users were allowed to use within specific programs and applications. Using a corporate organization software SailPoint, the controlled access was organized into functional roles that were then assigned to users. The functional roles dictated which entitlements were given to users on the basis of their needs. Constructed Visual Basic algorithms to automatically format the analysis reports of the various employees’ access. Other VB macros were used to assist in consolidating reports to better communicate needed access for multiple users. The algorithms used greatly reduced turn-around time needed between receiving employees within the roles and determining their granted access.
