The function of Non Obvious Relation Awareness (NORA “product name”) was executed by data quality standardization, checking and cleansing, data enrichment followed by evaluating an entity’s information such as names, addresses, physically inherited properties and assigned properties in a near realtime perpetually environment. The NORA platform integrates information from numerous touch points, by pulling information from multiple data sources for analysis. NORA would then provide a comprehensive understanding of “Who is Who” and "Who Knows Who”.Mr. Smith was a member of a small cross functional government team reporting directly into the General Manager and SVP of Field Operations. Mr. Smith would (consult with/provide ad hock, 3 and 5 day training to) the end customers and our partners on achieving fast return on investment through rapid implementation, data quality, ETL, person name variations, address validation and verification, regular expressions, hardware and database selection and performance tuning, wrapping all these assets together to address the needs for comprehensive entity resolution and relation detection analytical solution and proliferation of customer touch points. EDS FederalNMCI established an interoperable command and control network that provides the IT platforms necessary for transitioning to a net-centric environment. Under this paradigm, in the original NMCI contract, the government did not own any IT assets used in the program. Rather, they were owned by EDS, and services are provided to the government on a per-seat basis. Pricing is primarily assessed on a per-machine basis that includes security services, help desk support, and periodic technology upgrades; however, fees for additional services (such as classified connectivity, mission-critical service, additional user accounts, software installation, seat moves) did apply.Mr. Smith was a member of a large cross functional team and team lead for database and systems. Our goal was the migration and continuous movement of more than 707,000 Sailors, Marines and civilians user accounts and applications authentication in 620 locations in the continental United States, Hawaii, and Japan, making the largest internal computer network in the world.Mr. Smith and team managed the day to day operation of the databases and systems that were utilized in the migration and continuous movement strategy. Mr. Smith and team also had responsibilities in the ETL process of transforming legacy user and groups into AD. Mr. Smith also was involved with code reviews with other team leads, also leading the efforts on compiling Gold Disk of our solution and worked through all phases of testing and validation in the NMCI San Diego Lab.
