Extensive experience in process and product development in the field of biodegradable and renewable resource-based materials, polymers and industrial chemicals. 22 years with Cargill as a principal investigator and co-inventor developing and commercializing the NatureWorks(r) brand of polylactic acid based plastics. Experienced in chemical process development of novel materials and processes, from the lab scale to commercial production technology. Additional experience at Segetis, Inc, as a Sr. Process Development Chemist developing and scaling up Levulinic Ester Ketal (LEK) technology from lab scale through commercial development scale. Scope of the work was from initial raw material production through final customer sampling of commercial samples, toll production, and full scale commercial feed stock trials.
