World Central Kitchen – An international NGO providing meals and support to communities affected by natural disasters.I joined World Central Kitchen (WCK) in 2018 as the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO), and later took on the role as Chief Operating Officer (COO), which ultimately included responsibilities from both roles (COO and CSO). At WCK, I championed global operations, strategic initiatives, and technological advances aimed at providing immediate solutions to those affected by crises. Some of my most notable achievements are below:➡️ Allocated $220M budget, led 30 employees across 4 departments, and secured 100% employee retention for all direct reports. ➡️ Cut costs $20M by developing global purchasing agreements with distributors, and negotiated discounts ranging from 40–50% on disaster relief services, such as transportation, lodging, and technology. ➡️ Innovated and introduced proprietary global-communications tool that combined technologies to accurately locate and direct team members in disaster zones. ➡️ Served as business development authority by building from-scratch relationships with 50+ Fortune 500 organizations. Trustworthy partnerships resulted in $10M+ in donations over 5 years. WCK was solely focused on helping those in need at the worst moment in their lives, and that’s why it was able to scale and grow as it did. Upside Travel - A technology startup focused on disrupting the corporate travel industry.As a founding member of Upside Travel, my goal was to prototype, design, and launch a travel solution that was the first of its kind. While COVID negatively impacted the ability of the business to flourish past the startup stage, I was able to acquire new knowledge in a challenging and fast-paced environment that prepared me for the high-stakes role at WCK. Our team invested in socially conscious for-profit enterprises and delivered impactful products and services which targeted clean water accessibility and malaria eradication across Sub-Saharan Africa, Central America, and South America. ➡️ Orchestrated $1B in funding for the Startup for America initiative, transforming the landscape for 13K small businesses. ➡️ Oversaw philanthropic budget of $20M along with $25M+ in investments for social-impact ventures. Consulted with 7 high-profile clients on capital acquisition strategies, networking tactics, and business mentorship.➡️ Pioneered a groundbreaking solution which provided 4.5M residents of Sub-Saharan Africa clean water.
