As a researcher assistant at Climate Policy Radar, I focus on connecting and organising data and concepts related to climate issues. Transparency through accessible and actionable information helps to inform and accelerate global climate action.My work also involves conducting in-depth research to update the Climate Change Laws of the World (CCLW) database, ensuring it remains a comprehensive, up-to-date resource for tracking climate-related legislation and policy trends.

I supported the work of the Climate Action Network Latin America, particularly the Ambition Working Group, in coordinating, building capacity, and facilitating knowledge sharing among its members. The overall goal was to recommend more ambitious NDCs, as well as to promote public participation and strengthen implementation efforts in Latin American countries. We also aimed to propose a Latin American approach by placing the principle of Common but Differentiated Responsibilities at the core of the discussions.

I supported the EUROSTAT Unit E.2 (Environmental Accounts; Sustainable Development) team in gathering and organising environmental data received from national statistics office. Furthermore, I liaised with other partners (e.g. JRC) in the project INCA on EU-wide ecosystems accounts.

Collaborating in the Thriving Cities Project to co-create a transformative future at city level by taking into account social needs and environmental boundaries.

In parallel with my curricular activities, I started a really exciting role assisting Marieke Veeger's research about whether or not anticipatory practices were applied by countries while formulating their (i)NDCs.

In this internship, I researched the second or updated Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC) submitted by countries from 2020 onward and the climate policies implemented in major emitting economies (e.g. United Kingdom, France, Germany, etc). Also, my tasks encompassed the constant updating of the climate policy database.As outputs, I aided in two forthcoming reports, the first giving an overview of the policies in force and the future projections and the second creating a robust framework for the assessment of countries NDCs. I honed my Excel and Mendeley abilities throughout.

Placement where I did my Environmental Sciences / Environmental Policy internship. Working with environmental and agriculture policy framework related to biocontrol and sustainable agriculture in a range of countries and conducting stakeholder analysis, I helped to develop a savvy database to guide future actions of the company. Research and analytical skills were honed during the process, increasing experience with quantitative and qualitative discourse discourse analysis embedded in the UN SDGs.
