Schmidt.Research focused on computational modelling of heterogeneous catalysts using density functional theory and microkinetic modelling.Currently a postdoctoral researcher at Sandia National Laboratories working with Judit Zádor, Khachik Sargsyan, and Habib Najm working on developing automated computational workflows for microkinetic modelling simulations of heterogeous catalysis.Developed a novel method for the location of transition state geometries of molecules and heterogeneous systems. Implemented these developments in Sella, and open source Python package written from scratch available on github.
