I manage electrical distribution projects for various utilities across the east coast. • Served as lead engineer to service and upgrade the generator frame component of the McGuire Nuclear Power Station in Charlotte, NC.• Developed a process workflow to clear a back-log of CAPA’s (Corrective action/Preventive Action). Evaluated individual non-conformance events, determined the root cause, and implemented corrective actions.• Improved power plant performance, lowered cost, and increased efficiency by redesigning heat exchangers.• Designed and evaluated new tools and components with both hand and computer calculations. Analyzed various parts using a variety of programs including ANSYS, AutoCAD, and Pro-E. Authored and oversaw design reviews for new components.• Analyzed power plant generator performance and selected the proper heat exchanger component for it.• Authored the construction plan for the generator cooler on the Olkiluoto Nuclear Power Plant project and revised as necessary to obtain approval from the Finnish Nuclear Regulatory Committee.
